The Lee Factory Crimp Die uses a collet-style system to apply a rifle-type crimp to the cartridge case for consistent bullet retention and improved reliability. Designed for .308 Winchester and .303 Savage, it makes cartridges that are traditionally difficult to crimp much easier to reload. Bullets do not need a crimp groove (cannelure) because the powerful collet can form one as it crimps.
