The Luth-AR Assembled Slick-side A1 Upper Receiver is built from 7075-T6 aluminum forgings and machined to final dimensions for reliable fit and function with current-production AR-15 components. It features correct early-style carry handle contours with an A1-pattern rear sight housing for a period-accurate look. This slick-side configuration deletes the shell deflector and forward assist, and comes assembled with the A1 rear sight and ejection port cover door assemblies installed. Charging handle components are sold separately. As a period-correct upper, it does not include M4-type feed ramps found on most modern flattop receivers.
