Ruger’s Scout Rifle was designed in concert with Gunsite and is “Gunsite Approved”. The bolt-action rifle is chambered for the .308 Winchester cartridge and features a forward-mounted Picatinny rail which allows for the mounting of modern optics. A ghost ring adjustable rear aperture sight and a non-glare, blade front sight provide backup. Patented integral scope mounts, machined directly into the solid-steel receiver, provide yet another sighting option. The non-rotating, Mauser-type controlled round feed extractor features a fixed blade-type ejector that positively ejects the empty cases as the bolt is moved fully rearward. Other features include a 16.10″ free-floated, cold hammer-forged barrel with ultra-precise rifling, three-position safety, sling swivel studs, detachable box magazine with push-forward magazine release, and soft rubber buttpad. Included with the rifle are scope rings, swivel studs and three .5″ buttpad spacers. Barrel, sights, rail and receiver are finished in black, as is the laminated wood stock. The receiver features a Gunsite name rollmark.
